Inazuma Eleven GO! is the fourth video game in the series. The game was released in December 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS. There were two versions released, Shine and Dark.
Set ten years after Inazuma Eleven 3, the world revolves around soccer. Soccer decided your future. If you went to a school with a good soccer team and was able to play on its team, you would be basically guarenteed a good future. On top of that, soccer was being regulated by the organization, Fifth Sector. Led by the Holy Emperor, Ishido Shuji, Fifth Sector determined the outcomes of each game in the national tournament, the Holy Road. Soccer was not free anymore and was rigid and regulated. Soccer, itself, was the enemy.
However, the winds of revolution kicked up with the main character, Matsukaze Tenma. The enthusiastic 7th grader is a complete beginner in soccer. With no experience to speak of, he aims to be on the Raimon soccer team. The Raimon soccer team, being known as the heros of Japan, is on the verge of collapse as Fifth Sector sends a team to destroy the normally prestigous team. Matzukaze was able to join the team after the near-collapse of the Raimon team and bring his teammates together to save soccer. Returning to Raimon as coach, Endou leads the team through the Holy Road tournament to bring back the soccer they loved and enjoyed.
